Finished - Super Bulky Wristers!

Super Bulky Wristers Originally uploaded by karyn_settles Yesterday evening I finished my Super Bulky weight wristers. They are based on a free pattern called "Chatty Bulky Wristers". The original was made with a bulky weight yarn but I did a little math and converted the pattern to work with the super bulky weight yarn I had left over from my beret. Both took only the one skein I had left over from a sweater project I finished a long time ago. It is part of my Stash Busting resolution I made. They were fun and easy to do.

Finished a great hat pattern

Baby Stuff and Baseball

I finished some projects for a friend at work who is having a baby. They came out so cute. I am very happy with the results. I am going to add the baby kimono from Mason Dixon Knitting to this and make it a set. I am going to make the kimono white and pick some nice buttons to put on the kimono and at the cuff of the booties to really finish off the set. I also attended my nephews first tee ball game today. It was so cute to see the team of 5 year olds having a good time. The day was beautiful.

Celebration Preparation

My younger DD and I dyed Easter eggs today to prepare for the celebration tomorrow. We used Dudley Rainbow Eggs kit and the results were really pretty. We put out yard art and set up bunnys in several places in the house. We had a really good time. We also decorated some rice krispy cookies. We had a kit from Michael's that had everything in it but it could just as easily been done with grocery ingredients.

Disney Day

Sunday we spent a great day at Disney's California Adventure. The day at the park included several shows, a lot of great rides and a fun time with family! If you get to DCA don't miss the Aladdin show at the Hyperion Theatre. It was great! Broadway caliber performers! My 5 year old Nephew loved the Playhouse Disney on Stage show. I was so cute to watch him participate in all the fun the audience had. My daughters both liked California Screamin. I'm not into roller coasters so much anymore so I skipped that one. I think my favorite ride had to be the toy story carnival ride that opened recently . . . so much fun I was laughing the whole time and it was way worth the 45 minute wait to ride. All in all had a great day with family!

Spring Cleaning

Today is likely to be spring cleaning day in my house. I am so far behind on getting things ready for spring. I'm putting DH to work on some house maintenance . . . that will get that stuff put away. DD's will be helping me with cleaning. I'm there with the Yarn Harlot when she said, "I'm sure I lost a couple of days!" in one of her recent posts. The woman is hilarious! We're headed to Disney's California Adventure tomorrow to celebrate my nephews birthday, so all the housework needs to be done today. This isn't making for much knitting . . . but that sometimes happens. Life is nothing if it isn't unpredictable. So . . . wish me luck.
