I am a Ravthlete!

I am a Ravthlete . . . I medaled in the frogging category but it still counts.  The event was Aerial Unwind.  I frogged my Best Friend Cardigan and my Corset Tee 2 .  I am also competing in WIP Dancing and will now concentrate on that . . . Here is my medal!

Ribbed Cap - Part 2

:)  DH gave my BIL Mark his cap . . . and it was well received!  He put it on immediatly and before my DH could drive the 20 minutes home, Mark had called to tell me how much he liked it and how much he appreciated it!  Ordered KP Shine yarn to make another in cotton for him to wear in bed.  He commented that he would like something in cotton for when the weather is warmer and for bed.  A definite go do as soon as I get my yarn.  In the same order, I bought a complete set of Zepher needles from KnitPicks.  I have the Nickel Options set and love them too.  I am using a set of Zepher tips I purchased at my LYS to try on my Slanting Gretel Tee and love, love, love them!  Order should arrive Feb 1 and I can't wait! Knit On!

Ribbed Cap

Ribbed Cap Originally uploaded by karyn_settles I just finished this ribbed cap for my BIL Mark. He is undergoing chemotherapy for throat cancer and has lost his hair. I used his favorite color for the main body of the cap and added the stripes to "jazz it up" a little bit. I think he will wear it.

Traveling Woman . . . Home at Last

Traveling Woman Originally uploaded by karyn_settles I finished Traveling Woman by Liz Abinante. It turned out beautifully! I wore it yesterday and got several nice comments on it. I used Malabrigo Sock. I loved this yarn and already have more for another shawl. I don't know if I'll do this one again or maybe Ishbel by Ysolde. On other fronts . . . we'll be having Thanksgiving at our home on Thursday so I am busy getting the house ready for all the family and friends who will be attending. I finished painting my bathroom and it turned out very nicely. That's a post for another day. Onward and upward!

Traveling

I am almost finished with Traveling Woman by Liz Abinante of Feministy.com. It is a free pattern for a scarf size shawl with a wonderfully pretty but really easy lace pattern. I used Malabrigo Sock for it. I am in LOVE with Malabrigo. It is the most luxurious fiber I have ever used. I can see why so many people love "the Mal". It is going well and I am debating right now whether to add a repeat of one of the lace charts in order to make the overall size a little bigger.

A Hat Completed

A LB Homespun Country Beret Originally uploaded by karyn_settles I finished my beret. It is going to go with my Splendid Triangle Shawl. It was made from the leftovers of the shawl so the colors will match perfectly.
